Pear Sauce

Ingredients

10-12 small pears
¼ c. sugar
cinnamon to taste

Directions

  1. Put 10-12 small pears, whole w/skins, into a stew pot. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook for about 45 minutes, or until fork tender.
  2. Cool. When cool, quarter the pears and put into a Foley Food Mill over a bowl or pot. Turn the crank on the food mill until the pear goes through the sieve and only the pear skin, stems, seeds remain. Add sugar and cinnamon to taste.
  3. OR—if you don’t have a Foley Food Mill, peel and stem pears; quarter and remove seeds. Put pear pieces in a blender and blend with sugar and cinnamon to taste.
